Verónica Meléndez, es doctora arquitecta por la Escuela de Arquitectura ETSAM de Madrid. Allí defendió su tesis doctoral sobre la idea de Gestión Intelectual, y los procesos de transformación de la identidad de estudios de arquitectura a través de sus prácticas comunicativas y arquitectónicas de manera unísona. Titulada "Gestión intelectual de las prácticas comunicativas en arquitectura. SMLXL: El Gran Evento" obtuvo la calificación de Sobresaliente Cum Laude en enero de 2016.
Después de dos años como investigadora, en la posición de Visiting Scholar, en la facultad GSAPP de la Universidad de Columbia en Nueva York, retoma la dirección de la iniciativa A&B side LAB, y se reanudan las actividades del Estudio de Arquitectura VMOFFICE. Verónica es actualmente la Directora de la oficina de Relaciones Internacionales, y también profesora, en ESNE, Escuela U. de Diseño, Innovación y Tecnología, donde su proyecto docente "acciones encadenadas de ida y vuelta entre universidad y empresa" fue premiado, en las I Jornadas de Innovación Docente (Julio 2016). Ambas dedicaciones se retroalimentan mutuamente.
VMOFFICE cree que los profesionales de arquitectura deben ofrecer flexibilidad a la hora de realizar fases de proyecto muy diversas incluso antes de ser un proyecto real. VMOFFICE entiende que un cliente puede necesitar un tiempo previo o unos trabajos preliminares antes de introducirse en un proceso completo de un proyecto de arquitectura.
Por ello, VMOFFICE se dedica al desarrollo de proyectos de arquitectura y reforma en todas sus fases. Pero también ofrece servicios independientes como la asesoría técnica en fases previas, la realización de estudios previos independientes para el análisis de las posibilidades de un proyecto, así como de definición de estrategias para obtención de licencias, análisis de costes o solicitudes de financiación, no vinculantes con la realización de un proyecto, y con el objetivo de definir junto a los clientes las opciones de viabilidad de los proyectos que imaginan.

Verónica Meléndez Valoria, is a PhD architect. There she presented her final dissertation on the idea of the Intellectual Management in architecture, and the process of mutation of the architectural office's identity over time through both their communicative and professional practice. Under the title "Intellectual Management of communication practices in architecture. SMLXL: The Big Event" it was graded with the highest honors, Summa Cum Laude.
After two years researching as Visiting Scholar at GSAPP School (Columbia University) in New York, she continues now the Direction of the A&B side LAB initiative, and VMOFFICE resumes all its activities as an Office for Architecture. She is now Director of the International Relations office, and Faculty, at ESNE, School of Design, Innovation and Technology, where her education innovation project "rolling back and forth interactions between academic and professional environments" was awarded at the I Education Innovative Practices Conference (July 2016). Both occupations feed each other respectively.
VMOFFICE believes that professionals in architecture must offer flexibility by providing services for a wide range of phases in a project even before it exists. VMOFFICE believes also that clients generally might need time and sometimes preliminary stages before being immerse in the very long processes of architectural projects.
For all those reasons VMOFFICE develops projects of architecture and projects of restoration and refurbishment. But also, VMOFFICE provides independent services, among others consultancy in preliminary phases for the analysis of the actual possibilities of a project, as well as the definition of strategies to get licenses, cost analysis or funding. None of those necessary lead to an actual commission for a complete project. The purpose of providing this double capacity, is to define together with clients the real viability of the projects they imagine.
